Since 2011, FOCUS Engineering has fulfilled the “City Engineering” position and the engineering department needs for communities in the Twin Cities.
Formed by Cara Geheren, Jack Griffin, and Ryan Stempski, FOCUS provides an alternative to in-house engineering departments or the full-service firms that many cities used to meet their engineering needs. As an extension of city staff, our team leverages each member’s skills, experience, and specialties to meet the needs of the communities we serve.
FOCUS staff serve as City or Town Engineer for the cities of Victoria, Lake Elmo, Hastings, Dellwood, Medicine Lake, Denmark Township and West Lakeland Township.

With six registered professional engineers specializing in the planning, design, and construction of municipal infrastructure with support from graduate engineers and construction observers, the FOCUS team works collaboratively to deliver services to municipal clients.
